Dear Gunnar,

I can't tell you how many positive comments we get from everyone who sees your craftsmanship.  You took our ideas and dreams, gave us insightful suggestions, arrived at a design, melded colors with textures, and with your array of tools, turned raw materials into a magazine-like masterpiece.  It was everything we envisioned and more... and all for less than we expected it would cost.  No wonder you’ve been called a  "master of carpentry” utilizing new world technology and old world quality.  You were able to take our 100 year old home, give it new life and style without losing the character and features typical of homes of the turn of the century.  Your restoration was remarkable.  The kitchen is still reminiscent of the late 1890's, yet has all the modern conveniences we've grown to expect.  The hand crafted kitchen cabinetry has the warmth of a French country farmhouse.  Lying in bed takes you back to Victorian times and the soft warming colors soothe you to peaceful sleep in the expanded bedrooms. The bold, period-perfect designer crown molding, chair rails, window headers, trim and coordinated doors throughout the home tie it all together.  Your eyes are drawn from one feature to another, with curiosity and intrigue.  All of it is carried out with the skill of a master… every detail perfect!

Plus, it’s as functional as it is beautiful.  Closets, closets, closets.  We have never been so organized.  In the kitchen, the bedroom, the bath- you are a guru of organization.  Closets and cabinets open up wide to exhibit the custom shelves, racks, drawers.... ingenious storage systems.

Nooks and crannies became study alcoves, computer hutches and private places for quiet conversation.  Turning the extra room into a combo home office and guest room was sheer genius of design.  Pocket doors and hideaway beds.  The revised open layout flows from room to room and is perfect for parties.

You not only renovated this old house, but you made it a home.  A place where family celebrates and friends gather.  It's comfortable.  It's cozy.  It's rich in character and quality.  It's simply magnificent.

It was refreshing to find an artisan who could see the history and value in the old and be willing to take the time to bring it back to life, incorporating it into the renovation.  Our home has tripled in value.  People think we spent ten times more than we actually did.  No wonder the hit TV show 'Spice Up Your Kitchen' called upon your talent to show what you can do with a little bit of money and a lot of skill.  Thanks, Gunnar.
